Education is one of the important elements in the formation and development of civilizations, and the transmission of cultural teachings and concepts, which involves many factors in its rise and fall. During the Qajar era, educational institutions and religious schools developped in the country, especially in Mazandaran that its clear example is Asefiyeh school in Barforoosh. This article aims to answer this question: what factors have influenced the rise and fall of the activities of the religious school of Asefiyeh Barforoosh (present Babol) through a descriptive-analytical approach relying on historical sources and revisiting endowment and other documents. The objective has been to identify influential factors on the foundation, evolution, and decline of that school. The hypothesis relies on the point that besides Mirza Mohammad Shafie Mazandarani's support, political, cultural, and social changes occurred in Mazandaran after him, especially in Barforoosh, had a significant impact on the rise and fall of this school activities. .

On the eve of the first world war, the western borders and the Kurdish regions of Iran during the Qajar era were through a critical period due to the displacement of local rulers. Also deep-rooted historical differences with the Ottomans, the presence of various tribes and political differences made the region faced with new events. While the Ottomans had officially entered the war, the buffering of Kurdistan between Iran and the Ottomans could not keep Kurdistan away from its consequences. The study tries to explain the causes of the expansion and continuation of the war in Kurdistan, using the descriptive-analytical method and relying on the historical sources of documents, local and national newspapers. The investigations showed that the political and religious differences in Kurdistan and the confrontation of nomads with each other, along with the strategic importance of this region for foreign forces were the essancial factors behind the spread of the war to Kurdistan. Also, political instability in Kurdistan, intensification of tribal conflicts, presence of disaffected Sheikhs, competition of hostile governments and finally false promises of independence led to the continuation of the war in the region.

Mashhad as a center of Khorasan province was of great economic and commercial importance; as far as it can be considered as a large port in northeastern Iran for import and export of goods. Because of the good commercial status of Mashhad, some of Russia and Governmental merchants proceed to build the firms, commercial offices and companies in Mashhad. The aim of this study is to answer to two main questions: 1) what were the factors affecting the trade between Mashhad and Russia and the problems facing this trade from 1304 to 1344 AH? 2) which Russian trading companies entered into Mashhad trade in the time period in question and traded in which goods? Despite the lack of references about this study and the need for a detailed study with a descriptive-analytical approach, the findings indicate that establishment of Trans-Caspian Railway, dispatching Russian commercial staffs to mashhad and the activities of Russian consulates in Mashhad are some factors affecting trade between mashhad and Russia. And according to boycott of the Russian goods, insecurity and restrictions of Russian traders at Mashhad during the late Qajar, some firms such as Iral, Makrowich, Frank, Noble, Khloopkem, Stuackin, Venshtorg and Cantero Sayus imported oil, food, commodities and luxury goods and Russia firms supplied raw material for themselves

This study is aimed at investigating the social, medical, public and personal hygiene evolution during Naserian era. According to the fact that hygiene is one of the most significant concerns, health inevitably depends upon public and personal hygiene and living conditions. One of the most notable social obstacles in Iran is transferring corpses to sacred places in Mesopotamia or Iraq during the Ottoman era, to Mashhad and graves of Imamzades during the Qajar era leading to outbreak of epidemic diseases. The establishment of the scientific and public healthcare centres, specially Dar ul-Funun, Iran-Ottoman borderline quarantine centers, Iran-GBR quarantine centers in south Iranian ports, novel medicine centers and the policy of prevention during the late Naserian era nearly reformed the public attitude.
