Based on the results of this study, it was revealed that Borkhar was one of the major religious and cultural centers of the Isfahan in the Sassanid period. The importance of this area during the Islamic era was due to their important highways, locations, cultivated lands, and also their influential roles affecting a number of historical events, particularly in 3rd and 4th AH as well as Seljuq and Safavid dynasty and its residential areas developed remarkabl رستاق برخوار شامل نواحی دشتی و کوهپایه‌ای شمال اصفهان است که با وجود پیشینة غنی تاریخی ـ فرهنگی، اهمّیت ارتباطی و راهبردی در میان شاهراه‌های باستانی اصفهان، تعدد سکونتگاه‌ها و نقش‌های تأثیرگذار در جنبه‌های اقتصادی، اجتماعی، سیاسی و فرهنگی شهر اصفهان و به دنبال آن فلات مرکزی ایران، کمتر مورد توجه پژوهشگران علوم تاریخی بوده و در مورد جنبه‌های گوناگون تاریخی آن، اطلاعات چندانی وجود ندارد؛ از همین رو در پژوهش پیشِ رو که به شیوة تاریخی در قالب مطالعات کتابخانه‌ای و مشاهدات میدانی انجام شده، سعی بر آن است تا ضمن شناخت پیشینه منطقه در دوران قبل و بعد از اسلام، ساختار اداری، سیر تحولات تاریخی و وضعیت اجتماعی و اقتصادی منطقه، طی دوره‌های ساسانی تا قاجار، مشخص شود. براساس نتایج حاصل از این تحقیق مشخص شد که برخوار در دورة ساسانی یکی از مراکز عمدة دینی و فرهنگی ناحیه اصفهان بوده است. این منطقه در دوران اسلامی به‌واسطة مواردی همچون عبور شاهراه‌های مهم، موقعیت مکانی، زمین‌های حاصل‌خیز و نقش‌های تأثیرگذار بر پاره‌ای رخدادهای تاریخی، به‌ویژه در سده‌های سوم و چهارم هجری، دورة سلجوقی و دورة صفوی، از رونق و شکوفایی مضاعفی برخوردار گردید و سکونتگاه‌های آن گسترش چشم‌گیری یافت. https://localhistories.journals.pnu.ac.ir/article_7045_823d4a8c01c0c1b8fa6c3f4f961c1dcc.pdf
