What are the factors influencing the adoption of Shiism and its expansion in Qom. According to historical sources and hadith, the results of the survey conducted in this study indicate that Qom people accepted Shiite thought and particularly Shia Imamieh from the very beginning of Islam. Then they tried to protect Shia and make it worldwide. Although Asharioun played a significant role in contribution and development of the Shia in the region, the main factor of Shiite influence in the region thanks to those of Arabs who were among the companions of the Prophet (pbuh) and the followers of Imam Ali (AS). این مقاله با اشاره­ای گذرا به پیشینه تاریخی شهر قم به چگونگی پیدایش شیعه و گسترش آن در این منطقه جغرافیایی ایران می­پردازد و درصدد یافتن پاسخی برای این سؤال است که چرا قم پس از پذیرش اسلام به عنوان یک شهر شیعی مطرح شد و مذهب تشیع را  در حالی پذیرفت که سایر نقاط ایران هنوز در تردید پذیرش اسلام یا باقی ماندن بر آیین آبا و اجدادی خود بودند. عوامل تأثیر­گذار بر پذیرش تشیع و گسترش آن در قم کدام­اند؟ نتایج بررسی­های انجام شده در این تحقیق، با استناد به منابع تاریخی و روایی، نشانگر آن است که مردم قم از همان ابتدای ورود اسلام تفکر شیعی، آن­ هم شیعه امامیه را برگزیدند و بر حفظ و گسترش آن اهتمام ورزیدند و هرچند اشعریون در گسترش و توسعه شیعه در این منطقه نقش به­سزایی داشتند ولی عامل اصلی نفوذ شیعه در این منطقه مرهون آن دسته از اعرابی است که  به نوعی از صحابه پیامبر(ص) محسوب شده و از طرفداران حضرت علی (ع) بوده­اند. https://localhistories.journals.pnu.ac.ir/article_2309_1eb69057a842ddcafc2267a4b156119d.pdf
